over sensitive accelerator pedal 2007 G35 AT

Has anyone experienced a quick acceleration after just lightly touching the gas pedal from a complete stop? I feel that the engine revs up too quickly and the car jolts forward. There should be a smooth gradual accerleration from a stop not a sudden jump. I think that the pedal is too sensitive. It seems that the relationship between the distance that the pedal travels and the throttle opening is too close to a 1:1 ratio in first gear. It should be more like a 4 or 5 to 1 ratio.
